Issue with Name Change after Transfer

Hi there!

My situation is a bit unique in that I had two characters of the same name in different worlds.
One Styrinahct Dimoenswyn on Gilgamesh and one Styrinahct Dimoenswyn on Midgardsormr.
I used the transfer service to basically get the characters to switch places. The one that I moved from Gilgamesh to Midgardsormr ended up not needing a name change to log back in. Unfortunately the one who moved from Midgardsormr to Gilgamesh IS requiring a name change before I can log in with her again. I'm hoping that I can get some help so that I don't have to change her name. Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Unfortunately once it's flagged as a name change, you have to change the name, even though the name you currently have might actually be available now (as your original character moved off). I've personally never heard of GMs or support removing that flag, but anything is possible, but your fastest solution would just be to change the name to anything else and then purchase a name change to change it back. I know it's far from ideal, but I think that's really your only solution. There's also the risk of someone else taking the name while you wait for support to possibly do something (as right now it isn't actually taken by anyone).

Unfortunately, once the name change flag has been put on that character, there isn't a way to lift it. You will have to change the name of the character in order to log into it.
