What's your first impression of Eureka?

You know? I'm probably going to complete the story, get to lv 20, and grab those achievements before bowing out of Eureka, unless the devs decide they overdid a few things (and under-performed on a few others) for the effort we have to put in in turn, and much sooner rather than later. Always think of accessibility, if you want to make a game. Always think about the newer players trying to get into the thing that the devoted fans are into, without disenfranchising the core fanbase. I'm doing what I feel like with this WHILE I can do it, which, like Diadem, is indicative of that cardinal sin of MMOs where newer players cannot experience so much content... content, btw, that was so largely advertised since before the expansion came out.

When, not if, but when, the population of Eureka dwindles, new players won't even be able to be power leveled by tagging a monster so higher leveled folk can bag it. There wont be so many groups willing to take those players through those necessary mobs that will wreck their face in 1-2 hits. There is no accessibility, in that regard. We're all lucky that we're all here now, and that won't last.

I only had enough time to just sorta dip my toes into it before having to leave for a bunch of errands but...I dig it. Yes it is a little grindy but, I play stuff like Monster Hunter and Warframe and that stuff is grind personified, so I just treat Eureka as something similar. I like the element wheel, I wish there were more ice monsters near the beginning area...I picked fire as my first element and well...it's not turning out the best. But yeah, outside of that, I am enjoying Eureka.

I especially like the feature where you get rolled back to level 1 after you leave. Happened to me now. One time too many for this content I'm afraid.

I honestly think a patch is coming to upgrade the gear in there as I think the 350 gear was meant for the begining. Remember this was delayed.

Protip: If something is delayed THAT long, make sure its fully updated, worked out, bugs FIXED BEFORE releasing it to the population at large. They release content sometimes that is buggy as sh*t and don't take the time to think before they release, hence why we get so many hot fixes. Releasing this, with already IRRELEVANT gear as reward is a big no-no in my book.

It takes ooooo long to level up and be able to even see the area.

Just sneak around the mobs. Did that as a PLD and explored the whole map in less than 10 minutes.

Eureka was what I expected excepted one thing, the spawn rate of Notorious monsters. I wish they would spawn more often to break the monotony of farming casual monsters.
