NON-RAIDER - HAVE AN OPTION FOR CREATION/MENACITY TOMESTONES TO GET WEAPONS/ITEMS

i'm not into the raiding scene for the moment but one day may give it a try.

But another option for us non-raiders to get those tomestones weapons & the items that are used to upgrade the weapons, gear, & accessories is to use the present tomestones.

No weekly lockouts for Creation tomestones. If you already have your i330 gear & accessories & you can buy the Rowena Tokens...then why not use the tomestones to purchase the TWINE & the GLAZE to upgrade your gear & accessories; why not use the tomestones to purchase the EARLY MODEL TOMESTONE - for example, purchase it for 2000 Creation Tomestones.

Same goes with the Menacity Tomestones w/ the weekly lockout.

Even though it maybe a grind...a GRIND IS A GRIND...atleast its option for us non raiders.

There are alternative ways that already exist, those are 24 man raid and hunts, coming in each uneven patch.

Also, if you don't raid, you do not need the weapon left side upgrade anyway.

I also doubt removing raid exclusive items would do any good to the raiding scene too.

If you want to give Rabanastre a try I'd go with you, this really isn't necessary. If you're geared enough to get in to Rab you're geared enough to clear it as a casual player at this point because most groups outgear it by so much.

Its an idea but I don't think it's necessary. Also if you aren't participating in even normal mode raids I'm not sure what you would need that upgraded gear for exactly?

They actually make it so you can use tomes to buy the upgrade items, but only after the next expansion. They want raids to give incentive so people don't just ignore them, or do them once and never again.

On the flip side, the upgrades usually aren't too needed if you aren't a raider.

exactly. I think the gear rewards currently is just fair for people who want to put in an effort into doing more content.

...You don't even need the gear if you're not raiding. Unupgraded capped tomestone gear is more than sufficient for all the casual content available in the game. Heck, uncapped tomestone gear (upgraded or not) is pretty great still. You can get upgrade materials for uncapped tomestone gear by purchasing with hunt seals, or via running the latest 24 man content once per week.

If you want the best available gear, learn the savage raids. If you don't want to learn the raids...why do you need it?

They do that deliberately so that "non-raiders" have a reason to get out of their comfort zone and try something new. If you literally won't do anything except four person dungeons, you're missing out on a lot of the game and the gear situation reflects that. You can buy that stuff with tomestones eventually, but the entire point is to encourage you to try more content rather than just farm expert endlessly. This would undermine that.

Rabanastre's great, maybe we can take you through it sometime so you get familiar and can get a coin.

Nope - You either get into it or you don't. The Raids are not that bad - its easy to learn provided you pay attention.
Even Deltascape at this level (The last one (V4.0) in particular) which gets you a 340 weapon - is very easy. Just Clear it 4 times for each weapon.
Sigmascape is not that bad either. It's just an overgrown trial fight. And in 7 weeks your guaranteed a 350 weapon provided you stay dedicated to the task.
Bottom line - your short selling yourself for relatively painless content.

If you can handle a dungeon run - you can handle a raid - hell <and this is the sad part> you can get away with murder (as in sucking really bad) in a raid and usually just "face roll" your way through.
Not saying you should do that but its what we see ALOT of.

Give it a shot...you got nothing to lose but time.

PS: I forgot to mention you still need 1000 tomes related to said 340/350 weapons...but that's a small detail.

You mean the 360 weapon with Mendacity and Sigma v.4 crystalloid that can be augmented through Sigma savage? There is no 350 weapon for tomestones, unless you do Delta savage but takes a while..

You can run Sigma v4 I think its 4 times now down from 7 to get the tomestone to upgrade to 340 weapon.

Nothing new here. And if you are a non raider then why does it matter if you have the second best weapon if the content you are running does not require it?
