    Do you find healing relaxing?

In my time playing ffxiv I've found the different roles affect me differently. Tanking is extremely stressful to the point of hating the role, dpsing is ok but not really my thing. and then there's healing.

For whatever reason healing has come to me naturally. I enjoy supporting the party and sprinkling dps in when all is well. In short healing is actually relaxing to me when things aren't going wrong. And even when things do go wrong (I'm looking at you tank who pulled all the way to the boss in hell's lid causing me to run out of man multiple times) I'm confident in my abilities.

So how do you guys feel about healing. is it stressful or relaxing?

Not any more than other classes.
Not only are you non-stop DPSing but you gotta cure other people's mistakes.

though I've never tanked, I'm quite sure I'd be more stressed in that role xD

Healing is really relaxing to me.
I started as DPS but it was stressful. I always tried to outperform and kicked myself for every little mistake and all around constantly felt not good enough. Since servers moved, I just felt even more frustrated with the added ping and eventually dropped playing as BRD. My main is WHM now and it's very soothing. Most of the time I find myself dpsing without stressing about rotation and just tossing HoTs on the tank here and there. I healed a bit through savage but couldn't dedicate time to continue raiding.
So yeah, def relaxing role for me.

I find tanking more relaxing, not much to worry about there.

Healing is relaxing if it's old content and everyone's properly geared, otherwise it can be stressful as hell.
But healing is still the most fun, because it's not just get aggro and then dps like tank, or just cycle rotation like DPS. Healing is reactionary, and actually feels like playing a game rather than doing a job.

I'm not sure if I find healing relaxing per say, but I do finding healing to much less stressful then when I'm on other roles due to my familiarity with the healer kit. I enjoy being the anchor / glue of the party regardless of how good or bad the situation is.

As someone who has jumped between many jobs, this is definitely a thing. The more familiar the job is, the less distressing it is to be put into a tense combat situation because you're not looking at your bar and second guessing as much.

^^^All of this is exactly how I feel. I tank if someone needs me to tank for them, but I hate doing it. DPS is... meh. Healing what I feel the most confident in. I like having the ability to heal big pulls, and add some DPS when I can. I kinda gravitate towards support/healing roles in most of the games I play.

Nah I find healing tough. I wouldn't say stressful because I'm really used to it but it's a lot to do. As SCH, managing and maintaining dots, boss uptime, skill weaving, party buffs, faerie positional, boss mechanics, party positional awareness, party HP, mitigation, synching with co healer, mana management, gauge management, aetherflow stack management, etc... It's a lot and it does get stressful at times but oh so rewarding.

Compared to that, tank is my least stressful roll. DPS rotations are easy, you get to skip out on a lot of boss mechanics, and you have limited party utility. Just overall it means you have less to do and I can relax into those roles easier.

DPS would be the most stressful for me. Maintaining a more complex dps rotation really takes it's toll on me.

But to be fair it also depends on the encounters and your party. Shin Ex for instance I would rather dps than heal or tank any day of the week.

I enjoy healing because it's a good balance between fun and impact on the outcome of the run. If the dps is low, that's fine I have dps too. If the tank doesn't know what a cooldown is, that's fine I can pick up his slack. But if the healer is bad and people are dying the group can't progress. Less risk of wasted time if I can rule the last one out.

DPS is the most fun. I don't do it because of harder rotations, longer queue times, and the role already being over-saturated. I'd like to make the switch eventually.

Tanking is rock bottom of the list. It makes me angry that I have to fight off sleep for 20 minutes to get gear that will make the job even more boring than it already is.
