    No more sword-like weapons for a while please!

    We have: Swords, Great Swords, Katanas, Rapiers, and Dual-Blades. Also 4.x just gave us 2 sword jobs.

    Fair enough, especially for tanks who have little to no choice in whether they use a sword or not.

    I'd like to see something Garlean inspired like (Dual-)Gunshield ala Rhitathyn sas Arvina or a Hammer ala Nero tol Scaeva.

    My personal opinion: Hammers or gtfo

    However I could see them going the 1-handed blunt weapon route (morning star/maces/flail) and adding a shield to compete with PLD. I guess that'd be OK..

    It would have to use the same shields as PLD, because they won't want to make two additional gear sets for one new job.

    As for hammers... Neros gun hammer.
    Magitek knight as a blue mage tank, a magitek forcefield that absorbs energy, then repurposes it as blue magic.

    I wouldn't have a problem with that necessarily.. But I would like to see the tower and buckler shields make a meaningful come back :3
