Weapon of choice for future DPS?

So what weapon would you like to see as a future DPS Job weapon?

For me I am hoping for...


Shortsword/Gun combo user Job. With the RDM introduction they open up a opportunity to provide a Disciple of War Job to have a slightly similar gameplay style but more focus on the melee aspect (shortsword aspect) with the range (Gun aspect) focus more as the off-combo. Always had a interest in the Modern Assassin style of gameplay but few game actually attempt or succeed with developing it. Also, SE did say they want to introduce FF14 unique jobs eventually years ago and Shortsword/Gun job will be a interesting Garlean theme Job since we know within the Garlean Empire they also deal with constant power struggles within their "nobility" ranks and with garleans lacks of Magic ability, a group of individual Garleans developing assassinations skills using both a sword (close encounters and kills) from older times and adding guns (for their range encounters) to keep up with the modern times as technology advance would fit.

Gunblade user Job is a bit of a mix bag because I see it as something that can become either a Tank Job or DPS Job but more so as a Tank job due to how characters with gunblades are treated more as Tanks from story perspective.
