Keeper's of The Moon Vs Keeper's of The Sun

Hey all,
Currently my main and will probably be my main focus throughout the game is Paladin, but I realized I chose Keepers of the Moon, when I used my first Vial from a Lala, which stats lack the starting VIT and STR of Keepers of the Sun, I was curious to if the stats balance out at level 50 or should I use my Vial of Phantasia to change to Keeper of The Sun to get a significant boost of VIT and STR.

The stat difference will still be there at lvl 50, however, it's not a huge difference though.
Unless you strongly feel the need of being "the very best" then I wouldn't bother with it.

The stats difference between the two is at 4 by most.
4 stats point is equivalent to level 15-17 chest gear, but a piece of level 50 chest gear gives nearly 25-30 points of stats, making that measly 4 insignificant at best.
Unless you're min-max player (or a gatherer that must have the necessary stat to trigger gather bonus), race doesnt matter past level 20.

Also...race attributes were a thing back then? I imagine Lala tanks and Roe white mages were quite the shock if attributes by race mattered that much in the early days

Yeah, I remember building my Paladin around highlander at the time, since I wanted to reach certain STR threshold for blocking purposes. These bonuses were diminished overtime, as the ilvl increased. Nowdays, unless you're a min-maxer, it really doesn't matter. The highest difference in stats from race to race is 6 points (Min 17 max 23).

Ooooh. That...really sucks. Do a lot of MMOs do that with race? I'm guessing gender has slightly different starter stats as well?

Go to the character creator screen next time you have a minute, race stats are still a thing now, they're just not very noticeable anymore due to raised item level at 70 compared to what it was at 50.

They were are still are. What has actually changed is they removed the "bonus points" because it either nerfed SCH or SMN, and people were just told to min-max one or the other, so anyone who did anything but min-max would get yelled and screamed at.

At any rate they were trivial, +1 or +2 points in some stats, that wouldn't even be noticed after 5 levels. I did quite an extensive test when figuring out the healer leveling stats, and basically discovered that the way the game actually did math was:

Base score at what level or level sync your character is at (which will look like 50% of the stat, but the base score IS what all the skills are based on.)

+ Equipment score (which will only affect damage/healing. It will not affect MP/HP regeneration rate, regardless of anything) which is affected by ilevel sync.

+ Race score, which was treated the same as equipment score. So really it was of no consequence.

And if you don't believe me, take all your gear off and write down your stats when you're level synced in FATE's. You'll see that that all races get synced to the same numbers.
