I agree with this, I have never done anything by mistake because I read what is on the screen.

I'm pretty sure I know what TheVedis is referring to though, not that I care. And while I may not agree with this person's argument, I still feel we need much better customer service than we currently have. If you're OK with piss poor service that's great, but many are not.

your situation was a bit different in some aspects

1) it was a unique item you could never get back
2) its something that you probly could be "re-rewarded" or even something you should be allowed to rebuy from the guy who sells it(why he only sells it to you once is beyond me)

I totally agree. In the nearly 8 years of playing FFXI and the year playing XIV, I've yet to throw something of value away. Why because I pay attention.

Buy back options or ways to retrieve/re-quest U/U items would be great. But don't look beyond yourself to place blame.

they admited their fault and demanded and called out others to fix their problem

that doesnt sound like they believe its their fault to me, it sounds like they are making excuses in order to justify what has happened and they expect people to do what they feel is right, even if others are not onbligated to do so, and there is no morality behind it, its personal opinion

we are human, we laugh at others misery, thats normal
we especialy laugh at the drama that comes of it because people take it way too serious

There's a funny story about someone blaming SE for a bugged Auto-Sort function in FFXI for it somehow dropping their Almace (level 90 version)...then he posted a screenshot where it blatantly stated "You throw away Alamce (90)".
