What happened to the ffxv collab?

With the pc edition of ffxv out, was wondering whatever happened to that ffxv ffxiv collab that was mentioned around when SB came out?

Does anyone find the continual update for ff15 is weird? I get that the company is trying to make up for a decade's time of wasted waiting but at some point, you just gotta say enough is enough.

It's either that or making different titles like the 3 FFXIII. I read somewhere they were trying to stick to a single title and just expand that game.

im guessing when they finish releasing XV content so not in 2018 maybe 2019 or maybe the want people to forget it so they dont have to do a collab.

FFXV is collabing with everything under the sun (and it's awesome xD) so I'm sure FFXIV will get its turn eventually.

Yoshi said somewhere the event is still happening. He wants more than a typical event and so it takes time. I'm guessing it will be a cross event and the XV team needs to prepare their side as well.
On another note. Feels so weird when you are driving the Regalia on the way to face Titan listening to XIV's "Under the Weight" inside the car.
