Before 90 you are trash, and when you reach level 90 is when you can begin to enjoy the game a bit.

You're trash here if you are under the current min ilvl for the "pro" content.

Necessary items for upgrading weapons and armours are all paid with real money.

With how the cash shop is going, It wouldn't surprise me if they add this.

But they let people trade them, so people who can spend money control the market and they put abusive prices.

Lots of gil buyers already do that. Happens in every game

Enhancement rates for gear are ridiculously low too, doesnt matter if you spend money or not.

Eureka seems to say hi

They make roulettes and loot cages too without revealing the success/fail rates. PVP is seriously unbalanced too. And some jobs are clearly better than others causing endless debate.

This happens here too, like in every mmo.

They release main quests and a couple of new dungeons with new gear and thats all.

We've been having this since 4.0

Conclusion: FFXIV currently behaves like a Free MMO, but we pay for it.

Initial Impression of Eureka:

Having a lot of fun lvling up in a party. Got to lvl 3 in probably 40mins then went to do the quest to get the second magia point. A lot of fun to kinda be in a party and chat with people while trying to kill stuff. We farmed lvl 4,5,6 stuff at lvl 1-3. World seems big and dangerous actually so you gotta be careful where you run through. Not sure about the elemental wheel yet, probably be more useful for higher levels later. Feels different then what we usually get though so thats cool.
