Not to undermine the rest of your post, because I can say we are in agreement on to how they can approach the current issues in the goblet. What I do want to point out is that you're right in saying Ul'dah isn't exactly all lavish, I am aware of it. But the "residential" area isn't exactly living up to its standard. Agreed that Ul'dah is very bland to what you'd expect a city with all the money in Aldenard should look like.

Some of the tunnels/ mazes that happen can be annoying, however they could also be great spaces if SE would just decorate them a bit, put in some shop stalls for people to use for RP, just do something with them. Maybe put in some fountains and benches and create some nice private seating areas.

Didn't see it this way. Some gathering spots in them would improve greatly. Adding some good lighting would definitely add charm to those little areas. Same to add some tents and stalls on some of the open areas where people can easily gather.
