Digital CE Upgrades

I didn't know much about FF or Steam, so when a friend told my brother to download the free trial through Steam he did so, then I did and liked the game and eventually wound up buying the game, of course through Steam.Now while playing a little Moogle whispered in my ear that I could buy the Collector Edition upgrades through the MOG Station ( Steam payments oc) and I would get the mounts and minions that came with each upgrade.
ARR ---> Fat Chocobo, Coeurl mounts / Wind Up Moogle / Baby Behemoth.
HW---> Flying Griffon mount / Windup Kain
SB---> Syldra mount / Wind Up Bartz Minion
I just wanted to be sure this would work before I actually spent my money because it would be cheaper to buy the triple upgrade rather than all 3 separately.

I don't know about how it works on PC or steam but console if you only buy the standard editions but wish to upgrade to the CE ones at a later date, you can purchase them from the mog station without any problem. Now it would be silly if it wasn't the same for non console users, but I did hear that there are registration issues if you don't buy all the stuff through one thing, i.e. the expacs all through steam if ARR was from steam to begin with etc.

I mean, i read your post but realized i didnt know the answer to your question. That didnt feel super helpful, so i didnt reply. It seems like it would work that way, but i have no actual idea if thats right or not.

OK, well I understand if no one knows, but even one reply stating so is helpful. Otherwise I feel like I'm being ignored, it's always nice even to get an " I don't know ". It's sad that we can't even e-mail SE or Steam to ask this question. Guess I'll just go back to Diablo and WOW, at least they have customer service!

on the pc you can just buy the upgrades in the mog station. if you go in the mog station on your user account, does it give you the option to purchase it? i know you have to buy the regular expansions through steam if you have steam, but if you already have those, it most likely would work fine.
