    Shirk Question

Hi, just a quick question (also may be a bit silly). How does Shirk work exactly? Does it dump a bunch of my aggro on whoever I use it on (like how Lucid Dreaming works the aggro) or does it give aggro I'm generating to my target (like Diversion...sorta).
    Thanks ^.^

It dumps a portion of your aggro on that person. Say you have 1000 aggro, you give someone 250 aggro (not ingame can't check percents.)

Provoke + Shirk is what let's Tanks stay in DPS stance without ever losing hate to a DPS.

    Main Tank: 10,000 Aggro
    Off Tank: 4,000 Aggro

    Off Tank uses Provoke:
    Main Tank: 10,000 Aggro
    Off Tank: 10,001 Aggro

Off Tank uses Shirk on the Main Tank:
    Main Tank: 12,500 Aggro
    Off Tank: 7,501 Aggro

Repeat over and over and the DPS are never able to catch up. It also makes Tank swaps instantaneous without ever having to use a Enmity combo.

Oh ok, thank you =) So as long as I use it with Provoke, it'll give the other tank a decent lead. I'm surprised that it all seems so seamless (to a healer's eyes ) considering they provoke. Does this mean that that OT would move to where the MT is standing before provoke and shirk just to make sure the boss doesn't flip out?

that's one way to do it but you can also do it when boss is casting skill so it won't turn around.

Yeah just voke -> shirk when the boss is doing something other than attacking the MT. Always check you have shirk first.

You could set up some macros to handle it in one button depending on your preference.

I have my party list sorted so the 2nd tank is always 2nd on party list, thus i can do the following macro /ac Shirk <2> means i don't have to swap my target to shirk the other tank.
