What you mean by that “more friendly”, sounds like pvp community known as toxic for no reason
When you trying your best to cover everyone in sight and healing 160k as pld cause your healer just standing in middle like a light tower, never kite or use cooldowns properly
But you know no one would see all these efforts cause your healer didn’t even know what cover was
You lost the game, then the healer asking you “what can I do better”
EVERYTHING
Why you expect ppl being nice to this shit, when the situation happening 10 times a day
And in many cases, we offer our experience trying to help and being nice
Then new ppl playing worse than a bot goes like “fk off don’t tell me how to play”
Or, they messed up all the things but they thought not their fault, so what they doing was blaming others by spamming nice job
I can’t be nice anymore
Stop implying ppl are not friendly etc
No one loves to be toxic AND No one ought to always be nice

I don't need to debate you on the toxicity of player base, because chat ban already explains everything.
What is wrong of saying Wolfden pug discord is more friendly to new player than Tryhard discord?
People learns quicker from actual combat experience instead of reading something on the internet.

He is awesome. I want his whole outfit.
"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.
No lol. Did you even play feast that time when chat was allowed?
PvE Chat is as toxic or even more as PvP chat ever was but nobody would ever ban it.
It's just that they don't want to read all the reports of grumpy players who blame their teammates on a lose and think they found something in the chatlog that could warrant a ban. It's less work for GM, feast quickchat spam is not so much an issue.
You can go in a full premade ranked match and you are not allowed to communicate with your teammates/friends with the normal chat. But as soon as you create a custom game it works, why? Where is the logic in that? They think I would insult my friends only because it is a ranked match and then they even would report me?
The have the autotranslate system in the game, it would have been an better option as to create another communication tool with quickchat commands buttons, which keep any strategy down to a very basic level.
I've posted previously that relying completely on quick chat commands is like tying your hands and feet and then throwing you in a lake and telling you to swim.
I'm glad the new team mode allows for chat. Now, they just need to reset the leaderboards.

Training mode "may" pop if some rewards were tied to it, and if they enabled chat solely for training mode it would help those of us that are trying out feast for the first time that do not wish to lower the ratings of other players. I do feel bad going into ranked without any experience but only way to gain experience is by doing.
Would be better to have chat enabled across the board, I have ran into some toxic players that have created alts just to tell me not to queue after marking me with ignore, but as I tried to tell them before they logged off "Do what I am doing try to get better, since clearly you are not as good as you think you are if you cannot carry some unranked pleb in a bronze tier match." Though the are few and far in-between and I will not let them discourage me from playing. I do think players would benefit more if chat was enabled across the board, but that will never happen so hopefully they do it for training mode at the very least and tie some incentives to get people interested in the queue since as I mentioned it is not desire to bring down the ranting of others, but I wish to get better and reading / watching information regarding the feast will only get you so far.

SE could also do a pop up before the match begins with reminders of what the rules are? But that's too complicated and to advance for SE to figure out.
