Yup. I've been playing at a fairly slow pace since a little bit before 1.19 hit, and I've been having quite a bit of fun. It's not perfect, and there are places where "preparing for 2.0" rubs up against "the game being fun in the interim", and I can't imagine the pain in the ass balancing the game must be, but I'm glad they're doing it, and I'm glad we're able to provide input as to the direction of the game in the meantime. It's far from perfect, but even before XIV's spectacularly wonderful release I was telling myself it'd probably be a long three years at -least- before the game hit its stride, and I'm having a lot of fun watching it slowly shift and develop. Can't wait for 2.0.

I love how detailed and beautiful our characters look, and I love how fluid and realistic their movements are. I love the music and ambient sounds. I love Coerthas. I love the cutscenes. I love the english localization team. I love that even though it lacks in many areas, and that even though it borrows stuff from other MMO's, it's not just another WoW copy, but feels like a completely different game. I love snurbles, Bayohne and lalafells. But most of all, I love Final Fantasy XIV for its potential to be an amazing game down the road.

I love seeing a positive thread. I find myself wanting to be on more and more, but nothing was like the time I had logged in to 1.18 after a long break I had taken. I literally could not get enough of the game, then. Hoping to get that back with more content, and I hope they stop phasing out old content.
