Yesterday they started using high power water pumps to get water into the reactor buildings, and Japanese media are reporting that radiation levels are down.
They've also reconnected power to some of the buildings, so hopefully things will soon be back under control.
No one seems to be talking about when the power deficiency will be resolved, though.
The SE servers coming back online really depends on when eastern Japan's electricity situation stabilizes.
By the way, I think the Wikipedia image of nuclear power plants in Japan (I linked to it earlier in the thread) is inaccurate. I'm watching NHK right now and they were just talking about a nuclear power plant in Aomori near Hachinohe, which was not on the map. ^^;

I am guessing the 28th or 29th they should be back online
I'm beginning to feel more optimistic now. The cooling of the reactors is now working, but that's not relevant as that power plant will never work again.
But it does seem like they have much more control of the situation now than they did just a few days ago.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Looking forard to the 22nd to get an update from SE.
