So if houses are locked to one account, does that mean if I make another character on the same account, that character can also access my house? /endrunonsentence

Sadly, no. Alts on the same account cannot access the same house as your main, unless it’s a Free Company Estate and you add them all to the FC. For personal houses, they still cannot share them. :/

There is a reason they are are called alternate characters -.-; , hence alternate story line progress, alternate life ect. So common sense would dictate alternate housing would be needed.

I'd think that next on the to-do list for SE , besides apartment upgrades, has GOT to be estate sharing between all characters on one account. I'm also curious if someone has , let's say three characters with a personal house each, would all three be able to jump between the houses as a tenant?
If they arun them as individual FC they can reap up benefits such as space, gardening, airship/sub gathering.
