Hurry up and fix V5s WAR ghost exploit

Technically, it is. The vast majority of people in this community will take the 'easy' route even if it screws over other players in the process. How many people had their progression on Byakko artificially delayed due to the job they decided to main being common? When even tanks and healers struggle to find a group due to 'no dupes' you know something is amiss.

What? No, it is not an exploit. Technically...it isn't an exploit, like, at all. Game exploits are a way of cheating...the tank LB3 and WAR solo'ing a ghost for the convenience the rest of the party is not an exploit, it's a strategy to deal with that mechanic. Are you saying that these two are on the same level as an actual exploit like urgamax (or how ever it was spelled)? And what in the world does 'no dupes' have to do with exploits in the first place? Bringing in issues that having nothing to do with the topic...like at all.

If they honestly didn't intend WAR to have super extreme burst, why would they change Inner Beast to be extreme burst? The damage of that is warrant enough for me to eye it over other dps if I'm DRG. Square knew they were giving someone a ton of burst power, and we're using it for what they wanted it for, extreme burst.

This might seem like an exploit, just like the tank lb3 on baykko. If I remember awhile ago Yoshi-P in a live letter Q&A said that he knows that players are doing this, and that's how they created that phase mechanics. even if you are bypassing all the ghosts, technically there is nothing wrong with it. I would imagine if it was deemed as a cheat / exploit it would have gotten fixed already.

Multiple classes can do it. However, it's heavily dependant on your loading time.

Probably should be patched out since its such a great DPS gain and depends on your SSD/location, but in a few iLvLs I suppose it wont matter?

When our tank did the solo-ghost strat, the first time he did it was at 2s, the second was at 1s. After that we decided it was not worth the added stress of potentially wiping so we just continued with the normal strat of each person taking a ghost.

I'd just advise to start your own PF so you're not pushed into the solo-ghost strat.

Either find a team that wants to do it the other way, or get a half-competent warrior.

Just because you CAN do something in a game doesn't mean it isn't an exploit. CLEARLY the devs didn't intend the phase to be cheated like that. I mean, I really don't care if people do it or not but I'm baffled that people here don't see this as a glitch.

The devs were explicitly asked about both of them. They flat out said that Byakko LB3 was an unexpected but legitimate method (why have a tank LB at all if not to mitigate damage?), and they didn't really answer on the ghost thing except to say that SSDs shouldn't be a factor on it.

So, they know. We know they know. They haven't said anything is wrong with it, and haven't done anything to change it. From that, how do we leap to "it's an exploit"?
