Afternoon all!

Some dye-able pieces of armor, if you apply a pure white dye to it, it will turn it to a polished steel color.

I dont know if this is just a shader issue, or just how the render engine handles this function.

With plate armor, its not something you can really dye in the real world, so how about gear paint?

This would live along side dyes as they are now, but would actually turn the piece you apply them to the actual color displayed.

You could apply the same methods of obtaining these paints as you would other dyes, either by crafting, them being brought back by your retainers, or the mogstation.

So, for Snow White Dye for example, Requires 1 Grey Pigment, 1 Wind Crystal & 1 Ice Crystal to make, that gives you 1 Snow White Dye.

Gear Paint, being that the density of the pigment is much greater, could use (for example) 4 of each item to make 1 Snow White Paint.
