    Let's be real here, all the reasons listed are perfectly valid in their own right, but people are omitting the most obvious reason on SE's part: It's to keep you subscribed longer.

    its the carrot on the stick. SE wants to keep that dangling in front of you for as long as possible. if you get the carrot right away...are you gonna stick around? probably not.

    At least do way with allowances for 2.0 beastribes, then at 5.0 get rid of them for 3.0.

    if you just doing new tribes it shouldn't matter at all since you'll have way more than you could use. I think you might be able to do all of HW and SB tribes per day even

    old beast tribes might become a bullet train for exp if they still give what they used to at the appropriate level.
    Also it was a factor for anima when you could use beast tribe tokens for advancement so it may become a factor again at some point.
    Honestly imo, if they converted all tribes to function like the new ones and did away with allowances it would probably be more restrictive

    for instance ixali have a bunch of quests that give oakknots, if i wanted to farm them for I/II/III materia turn ins or crafting materials it would slow me down

    because the first beast tribe you could do all the quests you unlocked and not the three a day the later tribes limited you to. you could literally have 36+ beast tribe daily quests if they didnt limit you to 12. its not so much an issue HW and beyond but they kept the limit because of how the ARR beast tribes work.

    Subscription based game means they profit off of you playing longer than in short bursts. Everythig in this game mirrors that mentality.

    I like how the majority of people responding to OP don't seem to understand that HW and SB beast tribe quests already have a built-in daily limit separate from the "Daily Allowance" and that the OP is only asking that the Daily Allowance be removed.

    You'd still only be able to do 3 quests a day for Ananta and Kojin, but then you'd also be able to do the 3 quests for moogles, bugs and birds, too.

    I completely agree with the OP, btw. The secondary limiting factor is unnecessary. If they wanted to split them so that the Daily Allowance still worked for ARR beastmen, I mean I guess... but if they want to just allow anyone to crank through them I'd be fine with that, too. ARR beastmen dailies are old enough content at this point that I wouldn't really care. I suppose it could potentially be exploited for tomes of poetics... but probably not any more so than POTD.

    FFXIV is all about daily and weekly limits... anyway I agree that this day limit of 12 is a stupid thing and it would not fasten the relic phase that much. Even if it would, all the phases have been nerfed and can be nearly quick, except this one. It could be a way to make it easier but not so much.

    I wish they'd remove the Allowance limit. I can see how it made sense back in ARR, but right now all it does is make me go, "Well, guess I'll focus on the Ananta and the Moogles/Ixali for leveling professions."

    I wouldn't mind building up a stock of older Beast Tribe currencies, but when ARR has 5 Beast Tribes each with 3 quests that grant currency, you can't really get it all in one day.
