    ^ This. It's kind of obsolete now. ARR tribes had an absurd number of quests for each tribe and more tribes, so it was a brake on how fast you could chew through the grind if you had a ton of time on your hands. For HW and SB, they restructured the quests themselves to be more time friendly, so it's not necessary anymore.

    They could probably do it with removing the allowances. Keep the daily quest reset, and it will still take quite a bit to level up most of the tribes(Ixal being the fastest since there are 6 or 7 NPCs if I'm not mistaken that give quests)

    Let's be real here, all the reasons listed are perfectly valid in their own right, but people are omitting the most obvious reason on SE's part: It's to keep you subscribed longer.

    its the carrot on the stick. SE wants to keep that dangling in front of you for as long as possible. if you get the carrot right away...are you gonna stick around? probably not.

    At least do way with allowances for 2.0 beastribes, then at 5.0 get rid of them for 3.0.

    if you just doing new tribes it shouldn't matter at all since you'll have way more than you could use. I think you might be able to do all of HW and SB tribes per day even

    old beast tribes might become a bullet train for exp if they still give what they used to at the appropriate level.
    Also it was a factor for anima when you could use beast tribe tokens for advancement so it may become a factor again at some point.
    Honestly imo, if they converted all tribes to function like the new ones and did away with allowances it would probably be more restrictive

    for instance ixali have a bunch of quests that give oakknots, if i wanted to farm them for I/II/III materia turn ins or crafting materials it would slow me down

    because the first beast tribe you could do all the quests you unlocked and not the three a day the later tribes limited you to. you could literally have 36+ beast tribe daily quests if they didnt limit you to 12. its not so much an issue HW and beyond but they kept the limit because of how the ARR beast tribes work.
