I mean... if you're intentionally standing in the bad, you yourself are to blame if you die, since you'd be making the healer's job more difficult by your own actions. You can't DPS if you're dead.If you stay in every AoE to keep DPS uptime, you're doing more damage, but put a lot of unneeded pressure on the healers, that you will probably blame if you die.
And you're certainly not "better" than someone that does slightly less damage than you but perfectly dodges all avoidable damage.
I'm pretty sure people won't care when they decide to kick those who don't "do enough DPS" for their taste.
Or they will simply kick the healer who is struggling to keep you alive because his DPS is too low, like Arkfrost witnessed in his static.
This doesn't happen nearly as much as people like to claim it does, stop perpetuating that mindset. Jerks exist, but most people who parse; while upset by unperformers, won't kick you simply because you're not playing to their standards.
I never said it happens that frequently, but not having an official parser means that you can report those who do for breaking the ToS.
And even if one don't kick everyone in sight, claiming that parsing is the only way to judge if someone is improving is already a slippery slope.
Only if they mention they have one; most won't. Otherwise you can't really report someone for kicking you due to the difference in play-style clause.
