So SE.. Hows your new wards working out?

While I understand the frustrations from RP'rs, they have to understand that the need of a house is but vanity.

If you do not have a house, you RP that way and that is simply the way your character is, you can have your home at an FC house, or an apartment, or in the sewers of Kugane if you chose to... "The need" for a house if you wish to RP is simply preposterous. I am 99% sure that the vast majority has bought a house on Balmung by rushing to the placard without RP'ing it in the first place!

This discussion with Balmung players is going to go no where. Balmung players are NOT going to get what they want no matter how much they kick and cry for more housing the way SE set up housing prevents them from adding more wards on a SINGLE SERVER if they add more wards to balmung they add more wards to EVERY SERVER. Now you may think "well whats the problem?" the problem is those servers with a fraction of balmungs population all larges and SOME mediums would be sold leaving small plots on every ward unsold leaving hundreds if not thousands of houses unclaimed making the wards themselves look bare this is adding on top of the problem there are plenty of housing left on servers to be bought.

Yes it sucks the way SE set up housing and instance housing would have been way better but they are not going to change it now. So for you balmung players either you stay on your overcrowded server while you fight tooth and nail for a house like everyone else or you and your friends find a server with a community of RPers and transfer. The amount of crying about this is mind boggling like I and others have said you got two choices stay and be stubborn and hope they change housing(which is very highly unlikely) or transfer with your friends and get what you want. You can't have your cake and eat it too...

Everyone knows its a bad system the thing is it will not change because of the way they set it up now unless they are working on a HUGE overhaul without telling anyone I wouldn't bother with complaining about housing at all. Maybe one day they will all of a sudden announce housing from wards to instance in the next expansion? who knows but as of right now we just have to work with what we have.

Instanced housing where the player picks the size and all houses come with a large yard is the only fix. Creating new wards is not going to fix the housing issue because there will always be more smaller houses than the demand and there will never be enough large houses to fill the demand (with the current Ward set up).

Stop arguing over which server is in more despair and realize that wards do not work.

Try and get SE to switch to an instanced housing system as a supplement to housing wards.

It's going GREAT on Ultros! Me and about 80 of my friends, FC mates, and LS friends all got the plots of our dreams! We still have beachfront mist smalls, lav beds smalls, and Goblet smalls and mediums just sitting here marinating, wanting a home owner. Won't someone please come to Ultros and adopt one of these adorable plots today? We have 300+ waiting for you .

Sure... Give me the gil for the plot+house, and I'll be happy to transfer one of my characters there. LOL.

Seriously though, this housing patch has been great. My FC barely had enough gil saved for a small FC house, and got a great one in LB. (We suck at making money lol.) So, it's been a great patch (except perhaps for the whiners on Balmung, but they're just one server and don't deserve special treatment.)

HAHA! Well, I can always have my wife, daughter, and I all either make or transfer a character over. Been playing mostly to ourselves in the long time we've played this game (Longer than I thought it was, apparently.) Would be nice to meet some new friends. LOL.

(Just noticed it's even in the same data center as our current server, Behemoth.)
