The only way to stop flipping is to create an unlimited supply of houses. This would undercut the demand that flippers exploit.

This FC trick is probably only work once and that is it. It will not be able to continuously flipping as the new owner is unlikely to go through same painful process.
Also, this is likely only to be an issue for server like Balmung (Levithan is pretty big too but i dont see any fake FC owned houses) and because people want hoarding there.

House flipping is not a serial event on a single house. House flipping is gil sellers buying as many as they can and selling them to any players who can't win the race to buy an open property. The method I detailed will work over and over as once a character is dropped from an FC it can buy another house. So buy house, transfer to a lvl 1 placeholder character, drop high level members from FC and repeat. As I said the only way to stop flippers or any RMT for that matter is to reduce demand. In housing SE developing a system where they can provide unlimited housing would eliminate the manufactured demand of the current limited housing system.

Not true. The real solution is to place permanent ban for both parties involved in house selling, and if any side of the deal have involved more than one person than ban everyone. Nothing strange to see entire guilds or group of people get permanently banned. The point is that the sellers will maybe try to risk but i'm sure the "normal" players will think more than once if is worth to lose several years old account for one trade. Btw when i said permanent ban i mean it, no "last warning" and no revoking the decision - if you participate in house selling in any way you will be banned... forever.

Those who bought the plot unlikely will try to resell it to another player.
This is also a first world problem that only happens on monster size server like Balmung.
There are people who quit the game and banned because of their own mistake.
THe plots will free up eventually.

Yesterday I spent more than 10 hours clicking non stop to purchase a plot. Of course i didn't get it. Today, i spent another 7 hours of non stop clicking to purchase another plot. Suddenly after 7 hours the player who bought the plot the day before appears and just bought the damn plot. We were wondering us, but after looking at the other plot we were able to see that the plot from the day before was free to buy again... So i were looking for other plots. I went to another section, waited 5 minutes and the same player appears there... just what the hell.

We are trying to get a damn plot since some days but there's no way to do that. Even with wasting many hours.

Are you saying there's a player who's just spending gil buying and relinquishing plots just to stop others from getting them? o.O

If you see a player purposefully bouncing between plots to reset the timer, report them for griefing.

No it isn't a one time trick. As soon as the player transfers ownership of the FC house and leaves the FC they can buy another FC house. That is the hole in SE's ownership restrictions. I suspect the gil sellers/house flippers make enough that they keep multiple accounts as you can see many bot guilds if you take a look. As long as they are making money they will continue.

Banning will do little to stop RMT assuming you can even be sure that a house was acquired via RMT which you can't. As long as there are buyers RMT will continue and as long as SE artificially creates a housing shortage many players will take the risk of using RMT. The only real way to stop RMT in regards to housing is eliminate the financial reward and the way to do this is eliminating the manufactured housing shortage. Yes at the moment there are still available houses on many servers but it is a finite resource that will be used up on most servers sooner than later. The 4.2 changes are ok as a stop gap but not a long term fix to housing problem.

Not sure if you didnt read my entire post or maybe you didnt get. The point is not to put the pressure on RMT but on buyers, e.g. no buyers no RMT. RMT guys will always risk their account for the simple reason they have ways how to recover but not a normal player who invested years. Even finding is simple, any transaction or sum of transaction from and to in X amount of time will trigger a red flag to the GM. For housing and FC - any leadership change in the FC with less than X accounts (not characters) will trigger a red flag. Then a GM can check why two people who never played together suddenly decided to replace places, e.g. why someone gave you a FC with the house after you freshly joined his FC. GM have so many tricky question to ask and dont forget the pressure for a permanent ban is on the buyer. He can lose everything, the FC, house, several years old account... let see who is willing to risk.
