I basically think it's just too long - if they shortened the maximum time it would help a lot.

You guys make no sense. If there is no timer at all, it's first come first serve and then you will be complaining again because you didn't get it. If the timer is known to be like 2-4 hours people will camp anyway. It won't change a thing.

Just keep trying, just last month I helped 3 people to get a house by just going around and seeing which timer is the shortest and trying them out. Instead of whining and being in game for years without a house means you aren't doing something right. There are still houses in new servers, if you whine and housing is more important what is keeping you from jumping servers for the house? Stop whining if these free houses aren't good for you.

Not everyone posting here is playing on one of the EU data centers. Most of them are playing on the NA data centers, where available housing was close to non-existent even before demolition was suspended. NA data centers don't have any new worlds with plenty of available houses.

People are not going to pay to transfer to an overseas data center when it means leaving their friends behind and getting a poorer game experience due to higher ping. You might as well stop your own whining about people whining because it's not helping the situation.

Then that means they don't care enough.

If you reaaaally want a house and seriously are crazy about getting that house, you could just move. Or, buy a Free Company. Players do sell them. The options are there for the taking, but if gameplay and friends are more important, then that means the house isn't that important.
