PVMer's Your tips and Tricks to making Gill?

So, since I started being able to raid on FF XIV I have done just that. I'm not to fond on Crafting and Gathering myself. Maybe one day i'll really get into it. But, I remember back in the days of the Coils when you could make some nice Gill on the Materials that dropped in there. Those we're the good times! Other than that, I usually will just sell T5 and T6 Materia or that lucky minion drop! if I can get my hands on them but i'm the type of guy who Prefers to PVM for his Money. I find it more of an enjoyable experience. Sure there are maps as well but my question to you guys is, What else have you found based around PVM that makes you good money? Talking like, Gill good enough that you can feel like your profiting from your kills! Blood money I like to call it! ^_^

Spam Quick Venture with my retainers. Most of the time it'll be decent steady income, and then there's the occasional 100k item. Other than that, mostly desynth. Still crafting but not quite the actual crafting itself lmao. Always get a really nice income from farming gear from level 70 dungeons

You can, as above use retainers and send them on quick ventures, or have them go out for high demand items like Halgai Mane and Manzasiri hair. It's small profit per but the little profit does quickly build up.

Also make sure to do weekly stuff and try and cap Tomestones of creation. Many crafters use materials that you can only get strictly from creation (or the board), and these are worth a pretty heavy dime. Also make sure you never let your Tomestones of Poetics go to waste by getting unidentifiable ore, or the other unidentifiables and trading them in under the sundries vendor in Idyllshire to get Grade 3 Topsoils. Needless to say doing maps is also a nice casual way to make gil.

A big tip but when running dungeons if you get Haukke Manor, make sure you explore that dungeon thoroughly much to the dismay of your group. But you can get high valuable items from there such as the Manor Varnish and Fine Wax, which crafters do use for the majority of Haukke-based furniture.

In any circumstance, although you don't like crafting, I really would suggest picking 3 classes to level to at least Level 30, at which point you can unlock desynthesis, then anything you don't trade in for Grand Company Seals, you can desynth it when you have the appropriate desynth level for the respective class, and later on can net well worth items such as Battlecraft Demimateria III, which needless to say crafters use a lot of. It's a little tedious getting to 30 and levelling up desynthesis, but I can assure you it is very well worthwhile, and I'm sure anyone that crafts and does PvM will agree on this. Just in case you don't know desynthesis is a method in which you can reduce a given piece of gear, or item into one of the respective materials that would be used to craft the item

^This. Also, whatever you do, don't waste money on teleporting everywhere. Instead, do your daily Hunts (including the original ARR ones) and your Challenge Log.

Not only does this reward gil, the Allied Seals for the ARR Hunts specifically can be used to buy Aetheryte Tokens, meaning you pretty much will never have to spend gil to teleport ever again (and you'd be surprised just how draining on your funds teleporting can be, especially with teleporting between the Far East and Eorzea - you can also use Centurio Seals rewarded by the HW and SB daily Hunts for Aetheryte Tokens, but they're better used for high level gear).

Treasure maps. I'm not sure what the market is like on Faerie, but here they usually run between 20-40k for Gazelleskin Maps, and you'll easily make that back several times over with a full group.

Selling materia VI exchanged from clusters got from exp dungeons
    Selling stuff bought from seals
    Doing daily roulette.

I know you said you don't like to craft, but if you're willing to get it to level 30 to unlock desynth, all you need to do is work on desynthing items from there on, since low level dungeons are super easy to solo for the loot to desynth.

I only work on 2 of the possible 3 desynth jobs I could have, but if I'm active in new dungeons I have almost a 100% chance to desynth the i325 dungeon drops, and mats/crystals/clusters I get from them can rake me in a lot of gil, more so if they're HQ when you desynth.

If you mean when you do a full group of 8 people, depending on RNG you can make below and above the '20-40k' with a full party of people. But then you also have to keep an eye out for groups that are 'everyone needs everything!'

But yeah, if you can get into the map dungeons, you can easily make a LOT of money if you get a few rooms in. If you can manage to get to the final room you can make a few hundred thousand gil, even if you don't get any of the other loot.

Just emphasizing a few things already mentioned.

Sell tomestome crafting mats. On our server you can get about 1 million gil for 2000 creation tomes. Those tomes add up pretty quick.

Desynthesis: Though this does require getting a craft to 30, this is pretty nice gil for content like dungeons. Get gear drops, desynth them, sell the junk you get.

What Creation Tome materials are selling this well? Is it all of them or a couple of specific items?
