Please fix Bard Music

I am new to the game, I do not have a Bard yet. What I have experienced is this guy making beautiful FFXIV music using his Bard.

Apparently 4.2 changed how the music is and it sounds worse for some reason?

The system is brand new as of 4.1, in 4.2 they added instruments and the UI and they're skill planning upgrades and tweaks to it as they figure out how they can improve on the system.

Oh, that's exciting. I look forward to seeing more instruments. Heres hoping that sound is temporary.

To me the instruments could sound better. Theyre not terrible or anything, though. Also, a wind intrument like a flute or clarinet would be swesome.

Much easier to play. I switched to midi kb after this patch.

The only complaint that's really "valid" is the one about the quality of the samples, and it's more than likely that they were changed due to licensing issues.

The interface, if you have any experience playing music, is far more intuitive than the old system. When you're playing F#, I can tell it's F#, not a slightly different coloured icon flashing in a sea of flashing coloured icons. They could improve it by adding another octave for keyboard users to use without having to use shift/ctrl. The help text complaint is nitpicky to the extreme. Could it do with a toggle? Sure, I guess. I find it unobtrusive. The performance UI, like the crafting UI, doesn't display names. I assume it uses crafting as a basis to lock you in place until you cancel it out.

I was reading somewhere that apparently the reason they changed the instrument samples has to do with copyright issues? On reddit there were people saying the old samples were very expensive ones from a strict company, and the new ones are royalty free. If that is the case, I can't see SE doing anything about the note quality >>;

My only complaints would be the fiddle music not sounding like a fiddle and that no matter the instrument you choose you always play on a harp
