    Audio Error

I bought new Logitech H390 Headphones/ USB port. ( over the ear ) I also have older Logitech Headphones / jack ( on the ear ) I removed the headphones from the usb port to change over to the speakers when the whole game crashed and got the audio error message. It happened again when I removed the headphones before closing out the game to go to sleep. Now I do NOT have my CPU overclocked, I am NOT running any background apps ( that I know of )and even though I do still have WOW and Diablo installed I'm not subbed to WOW atm and have not played Diablo since September of 2017. I suppose I could just close out FF before removing the headphones, but it seems kind of stupid just to change over from headphones to speaker. I also do NOT use Discord, Skype or anything like that.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Final Fantasy XIV will use the default audio device to play sound. When you remove the headphones, you are removing the default audio device and the game can crash as a result of this. We recommend logging out of the game in order to switch audio devices.

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!
