Is desynth dead?

I wouldn't hold out hope on a 4th demimateria grade, as they didn't add a new one in Heavensward.

While this is true enough, I personally expect them to come out with a new Desynth material, a la the glass fibers in HW. Should be around .. 4.4 or so?

If they do not, then the main relevant items obtainable via Desynth are going to remain items obtainable at “low” Desynth levels. Long gone are the days where you cannot bring everything to the 100 range, and that’s really all that’s necessary to desynth ARR gear for the MCD’s, BC3’s, and FC3’s.

I was under the impression that they shifted III materia to more recent stuff and older desynth remained at I/II. It's likely that demimateria will come back into play at the next crafting patch, but who knows.

Oh, I fully expect that, to get whatever beast tribe material comes out from desynth, but I am not really expecting them adding a new desynth-exclusive item (Fibers weren't desynth-exclusive).

Not as far as I am aware. My usual go-to for FC3’s has never changed.

It would be nice if they'd offer a nice alternative to BSM désinth leveling because it's a freaking pain to raise
