PS4 Pro Players - Which Graphics setting are you using?

Since the start of Stormblood, I put mine on the (upscaled) 4k pro setting for resolution over performance and hadn't changed it. The game played just fine, did not notice any slowdown or anything even in crowded areas.

Decided to try the performance (60 FPS) setting and it was a pretty big difference. Combat seemed faster and crisper especially the particle effects on spells and skills, very fluid. I do notice a small decrease in resolution, more so when moving it seems.

Not sure what I am going to stick with, on performance mode the FPS increase is definitely larger than the graphical decrease.

Curious what other uses settled on.

my wife and i both keep ours in performance too.

I never actually tried the performance setting as figured it was not a huge deal. May need to try it..
Now since this game is not built from the ground up for the Pro is anyone using boost mode?
Before SB i never noticed a difference with it

Boost mode only works with games that have not been optimized for the pro. I didn't notice boost mode doing much, but once the Stormblood patch came that added Pro support, boost mode no longer effects the game.

The thing that stinks about trying both is that your UI has to be tweaked when you change, some shifting, overlap and size issues. You can change it to performance then go back without messing anything up though.

Performance. I also drop the settings on my PC a bit to get 60 fps, because 60 fps is life! lol

I use 4k but put other settings in normal, like the surface reflection. The game looks more smooth in 4K

Performance but I’m on a 1080p set so I’m locked to it. Though given the option I’ll always go with the big frame rate mode over super sampling in games.

I wish i could set it to go performance as soon as I enter a group, best of both worlds.
