Can't click anything once the game starts.

Okay, this problem just started today after I turned my laptop on. After I log onto the client and click play the game starts up just fine but once I try to click anything it won't do anything. Kinda like I'm not clicking anything. When the cinematic trailer comes up I can't even click out of that. I have to ctrl+alt+delete and close the game out that way. Really not wanting to reinstall the game. Any idea?

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Do you have a gaming mouse for your laptop? If you have a controller, does this have the same issue? What is your Operating System?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

I have just a regular mouse. It's windows 10. I kinda feel like the issue would be solved if I was able to get it out of fullscreen windowed and just put it in fullscreen but not sure how to do that since I can't click on anything in the game once it starts. After I click play the game starts like normal and the cursor looks like it usually does but after a sec, my cursor does the loading symbol and the cursor looks like it would if I was on my desktop.

Thank you for the info Zhainne.

I would suggest a clean boot. Simply open the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

I figured it out. I clicked on run as admin and it started to work. No idea why all of a sudden I'm having to do this but at least it works now.
