Somewhere down the road...probably in a few months or so, SE will sell these on mogstation for $12-$20. >_>;
Better get them now.
I don't know, I've seen some of their event items go beyond the price you have stated on mogstation. What was $5.00 before jumped to $12.00 down the road. Cause you know, SE loves siphoning money from their buyers. Even still though, I don't waste my money on mogstation unless I need fantasia which is not very often.
Ninja Edit: I remember a emote that was on MS last year went for $7.00-$8.00. Can't remember the name of the emote, but paying that for a emote is imo stupid. But it's their money so they can do what they want.
Ninja Edit 2: Instead of putting emotes on MS, they need to add them to the game and or re-add them. Make them achievement rewards, etc. Asking people to pay irl money for emotes is stupid imo when you can just have them in the game for FREE by completing something like a sidequest or achievements. But SE wants $$$ so bad that they put up stuff on MS hoping to lure ppl in who won't hesitate to throw their money away and even offer shortcut cheat codes like those...Jump Potions.

You make it sound like a company wanting money is ....well, not the primary reason to found and maintain a company.

Look at it this way: People who were CURRENTLY PAYING MONEY to the company got those emotes/mounts/furniture/gear for free at the time. "Thanks for keeping your sub up, here's some neat stuff!" . Now instead of just never letting anyone else have it again, like some MMO's do, they make it available for usually less than the whole months sub price at a later date. Gives the people who bothered to do it a chance to be "exclusive" for a while, but the people who look at the items and go: "man.. I wish I'd been there for that" now have an option to get those items if they're worth it to them.Ninja Edit 2: Instead of putting emotes on MS, they need to add them to the game and or re-add them. Ultimately YES, the company is getting a little extra money out of it and since they are in it for the money I can't begrudge them that. You want the thing for "free" (you're still paying a sub) ? Be subbed when it's released and play the event. There are always going to be things they implement to make it advantageous if you maintain a constant sub, even if they don't directly market them that way.
WHERE IS THIS KETTLE EVERYONE KEEPS INTRODUCING ME TO?
Do you like the game? Do you like new content? There's nothing wrong with supporting FFXIV via the mogstation, its all cosmetic and the money goes into bettering the game, unlike the subscription fee income which gets funneled straight into square enix's coffers. They don't have to allow people who missed events to get the emotes/glams. But they do, and in doing so the game gets support and the players get items they may have missed. It's all very win win
Too bad we didn’t get any gear though. But these emotes make up for it.
Cash shops are retarded, people are all too willing to open their wallets, and buy the stuff outright. If more people and I do mean the majority of players started speaking with their heads instead of their wallets and stopped buying cash shop vanity stuff then maybe more of the sub fees would get tossed back into the game. I can understand from 1.0-3.0 era seeing as how the game was in an unknown state at the time and the company was in a bit of trouble but it's 2018 and the game is going strong.Do you like the game?
