lvl 50 from 2.4, where to from here?

So I've been back for a week now and I'm beginning to figure out how to play this game again. I've ran a handful of PotD runs and a few ARR main scenario quests. My question to you guys is should I lvl grind straight to 60 and then jump on SB quests to get caught up or mix in heavensward quests while leveling to 60? Also, any other suggestions about making the most of what has changed since 2.4 is welcome!

+1 with Rinuko. MSQ levels you up pretty fairly and you can always throw in a Centurio hunt or two if you need the extra exp. It'll let you more naturally learn your job, too.

Absolutely stick to MSQ, forget POTD. Your msq and side quests + unlocking content will level you quickly. Keep an eye out for quest markers that are blue with the +. They have content locked behind them.

translation: the ones with the + marks unlock new features, be it actions (like glamour or desynth, or job skills), new game modes (be it PVP or a new dungeon) etc. Every quest has 'content' behind it, the question is how interesting or worthwhile it is :P

If you are planning to buy a msq skip up to SB then do your roulettes everyday.
If you're not planning to buy a msq skip, roulettes and msq.

You can’t access Stormblood quests until you’ve completed the Heavensward MSQ anyway. (Not counting skip potions, at least.)

Focus on your main story quests and job quests and do your daily leveling roulette. That should be enough to cover the xp needed between next levels for continuing story quests.
Dont bother with POTD.its a waste of time on your first character when you are getting through story.

I used to do that only my leveling roulette and msq and everytime I got locked behind grinding to continue the story.
For exemple this character had to grind from level 47-50 to continue msq and I did all my job quests, msq up until the point my level wasn't high enough to continue and I did a few dungeons like Brayflox and Stone vigil maybe 4-5 times each and at the end I had to grind 3 level. So in that regard POTD is one of the way to level up when your are locked behind msq level requirement and you have already done your leveling roulette (I prefer dungeon but sometimes there are some I dislike and having POTD to skip them or just change a bit from grindind the same instance is nice).
Also, imho, you should do Alliance/50-60/MSQ (up to you with the change) on top of leveling roulette. I haven't really bother with the ovewhelming 2.1-2.5 quests and anyway xp from them is so bad but 3-5 days worth of roulettes (just did one 50-60 yesterday) got me to 55.

Don't feel the need to rush too much, you will catch up before you know it. You have some good content ahead. There is some dead time between patches at max level.
