Why cant i play my harp in dungeons?

They don't want to subject people to your music, when they literally can't escape you. Out in the world its fine, because someone doesn't want to listen they can walk away. In a dungeon you lack that ability for the most part.

Pretty much this. I used to hang around the Limsa aetheryte plaza, but since this feature comes out I bolt away from it as soon as I teleport in since there are always a bunch of people harping away around it.

You can mute performance sounds, so I dont see any issue with this.

I’d be more than happy if they added aspects of poetry, speech and/or magic to Bard.
Maybe I’m wrong but I can’t think of any FF Bard that was about being a keen hunter trained in striking an enemy’s weak points with arrows. Magic, sure.

On-topic, if someone was so callous as to want to waste a groups time in a dungeon by slamming persistent emotes I’d assume they’d do so with or without Performance.
