OP: 44 Weaver here, and I have been scouring the mooglebox.com list for ages trying to find something. Nearly all high level synths require felt/woolen cloth (very expensive on my server), and pretty much none of the synths are going to give you any of your investment back. You might check out Eagle Fletchings if the feathers aren't overpriced (5k+ ea on Besaid), or look for dated synths that required colored cloth since a lot of people are trying to get rid of stocks before it's phased out of the game completely.

Otherwise, I would just leve it. With Hand of the Gods/Preserve I am able to pull off the Leatherworker sub leves fairly reliably.
