I'd like to know where you pulled that information from... oh, wait... your ass.

I never said anyone should "never get bed ridden or sent to the hospital." I said that using that as the sole purpose for a letter is a cop-out. And it is. He could have used what he had written, waited a week & added game-related information and no one would be bothered by the letter. Using the letter as a means only to say "sorry, no info, I r sicky!" is really un-needed, especially when you consider that no major information has been provided in a good length of time, the playerbase has dwindled due to payment commencement, and some players are still unable to play due to a "new" payment system not being ready that was touted as being available in November.

But Belial let me ask you this, if you had not received a Letter for another 3 weeks, are you saying that you wouldn't be going, "WTF?! Why have we received no letter yet from Yoshi?! ARRRRRGGGHHHH" You're telling me in truth you would not be just as pissed having to have to wait longer by what you said he could have done in letting us know, "Hey, Yoshi here, sorry so long but was sick and here's 2 things for the letter about the game."? I have a feeling based off how most people on these forums react, and this thread is a perfect example but, I would venture to guarantee people would have bashed Yoshi for doing that buy saying, "WTF?! You could have told us you were sick instead of making us wait longer for nothing?! ARRRGGGGG /rage".

I could be wrong and I'm not flaming you Belial but curious if it's not possible either way still would have made people here freaking WIGGG OUT and rage.

No, I would not. See, I'm one of those rare instances of a person that has patience for a game known to be in development. Have I ever posted about things taking too long for this game? No, I'm of the persuasion to tell people yea, you have to wait, as the process they are undertaking to correct the game is a lengthy one. Expecting patches or large wall o' text updates every month simply isn't feasible, especially when the patches we are receiving are simply band-aids & small content; as the bulk of the work lies in a new server structure & game engine (not to mention map redesigns, and other such things.) But there are certainly folks here with the "gimme nao!" mentality.

This is getting absurd. Shame on Yoshida for thinking were were a community, for pete's sake. As a community, we would like to discuss things besides the game for once and share a holiday greeting with one another for the sake of transparency between players and the development team. As a community that means we all do things together. True, the game isn't as up to par as we'd all like it to be, they are fixing that and it takes time, but that doesn't mean that we have to slap down everything else in the world for the sake of that alone.

I cannot believe that the terms "White-Knight" and "SE Fanboy" have made their way into this thread. Lol Wow. Some of you guys just take it to a whole other level. I genuinely am laughing as I type this because it doesn't make any kind of sense. The point of the matter is that no one is telling you guys to "get out" because you want the game to be better. We all want the game to get better from the Development team to every one of us in the forums that's why we're still waiting (as players) and that's why the devs are still working on it. It's a gradual process that we're all stepping towards, together as a "community" that shares holidays and things of that nature with one another. The reason some of you might be getting told to "take a hike" is because no one wants those types of negative feelings in the community.

And by negative feelings, I don't mean the feeling that the game needs more improvements on this or more improvements on that, but the fact that, as a fellowman in the community some of you would literally read "Sorry guys, I was in the hospital! Maybe I'm working too hard! He he! Happy New Year!" and say "We don't care about how you spent your holiday or that you were critically ill... Fix our damn game!". That is the reason you're being told to "get lost" because you don't have compassion enough to be a person. That's not the type of thing people want in a "community".

Then let the moderators delete it, or the devs comment on it. I mean it's not the right way to say it, but he does have a point. A lot of us don't really care that much about what he's done over the passed week....yeah the culture part was cool but the lack of content was still not there while we have been waiting patiently for information or that poll we were promised.
