I would argue that the biggest problem is that the incentive is just far too low for most people to pick up the Adventurer In Need bonuses. The incentive isn't enough for most people to switch or to run the roulette more than once.
Ive run expert(2 or 3 times), leveling(once), trials(6-10 times), and alliance(almost every time i que) all with AiN as DPS. Ive also seen but not run(or counted) AiN bonuses for DPS on hest and MSQ. Ive yet to notice a DPS AiN on 50/60 or 70, but i rarely look at those and run them even less often. When i check roulettes its like 55ish% tank and 40ish% healer for bonus. So... the system is working. Are the incentives large enough to get the hoped for boost? They could probly stand to be a bit higher.
Is this a roundabout way to say that there are fewer tanks compared to the slots they're meant to fill than healers and DPS, or a roundabout way to ask if there are fewer tanks compared to the slots they're meant to fill than healers and DPS?
Kind of the whole purpose of daily roulette run, not meant to be done multiple times. HOPEFULLY SE will expand the reward times to maybe two times per day -.- as a suggestion. Personally you get some type of bonus either way. Now a days I personally only care about jobs that I need to level just out of boredom, tomes are nice yet right now I really want is more poetics. If I need cracked crystals I have a hunt ls and just do that for in between queues. I rather be more productive than just siting there and complain about it. Point is there are alternatives take what is needed if players don't like it just play as normal.
Ya i see healer a few times, and dps allot on 24man roulette. Though expert always a tank.
I see healer once or twice a day, but it lasts for a minute only, so gotta be quickOn rare occasions I've actually seen DPS in need I kid you not. This mostly has happened during really quiet periods though when not many players are online, but it definitely can happen. Funny enough though, DPS in need is common occurrence on the JP data centres, my alt loves it!
I think the cracked cluster is sufficient.
Now the gil and exp rewards, particularly for other roulettes where that's all there is... yeah, that's pretty meh. It's why SE patched in cracked clusters before they could even add it to the UI to begin with.
Actually we have:
3 Tank jobs
3 Healer jobs
9 (NINE) DPS jobs...
No wonder they are always asking for Tanks as AiN (Adventure in Need). I agree we may need more Healers in need.
I think if we had more tank jobs, maybe, that would be more varied?! #barbarian_tank_job_pls_SE (with a war hammer)
As much as I wish there was a new tank/healer to play with in the expac... as SE pointed out, putting in new jobs doesn't necessarily change the overall population. Even with 4 tanks, there's probably still be about the same number of people maining tank jobs. (I still think it's a shi**y excuse to leave tanks out, but neither is it the answer to fixing role populations).Actually we have:
