The only thing I can really say is experiment. If you find you only enjoy raiding and PvP, then you may be the type of player who logs in for patches and expansions then takes time off in between. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. That being said:

    - Sounds to me that you just need a break in general. Leveling a gatherer to 70 can be pretty darn monotonous, and frankly, so can raiding. I wouldn't count out leveling another Job until after you've taken some time doing other things outside of the game.

    - On the note of jobs: you would be very surprised how fun it can be to level multiple combat jobs. Even if you're only into tanking, Paladin and Dark Knight might just be enough to switch things up for you. At the very least if you level those two up you'd have more options when raiding with your group. I imagine being a Warrior and only a Warrior for raids might be contributing to that stale "in a rut" feeling you're having.

    - Are you in a Free Company? If not, have you considered making one? MMOs are very much a communal thing, and it may help to have another group of people to talk to outside of your static. You don't even have to aim to make it a gigantic FC if you just wanted a handful of folks to keep up with.

    - Pretty much everything Vidu said in their post. This game has a lot more to it than just combat, but you kind of have to motivate yourself to go do it.

Heck, just stop by the golden saucer and see if you enjoy Triple Triad or Chocobo Racing. Those two things alone are like their own little end game you can sink a lot of time into.

For me it's a matter of pacing. I also don't do every roulette every day either. Basically, just gotta keep setting goals for yourself. If you have no other goals than to hit max level, PvP sometimes and raid twice a week you're not going to last very long. There's a fair amount of other things you can do, just a matter of doing them. But as someone said above me, depending on your preferences, taking breaks is simply how it's going to be.

This thread seems more of a "why?" than a "how?".

That being said, I seek the thrills of combat. I like to help others when I have the chances to do so. I like to talk to others in chat, despite me being an antisocial introvert in real life. I also like to see how I can decorate myself with the rewards I earned.

I still enjoy the game. I don't really feel like I'm wasting money playing it, or time, so I will continue to do so until I reach that point.

I dont really want to edit my first post since thats supposed to be a summary of all the content I could think of in that very moment (I'm sure I missed some...), but I kept thinking about this a bit more and I feel you need to ask yourself the following question:

What do you want to achieve in this game?

Or, a bit less general speaking: What goal do you want to reach? What sort of content are you intrested in? Which aspects of the game would you like to see?
Specially the goal-part can be updated all the time!
I'll give you a personal example: Back when Snowcloak was released and I saw Fenrir for the first time I knew I wanted him as a mount! So, naturally, once he had been added to the GS for the cute price of 1 Million MGP (...why do you hate me so much, game?) I had a goal: Getting that mount! So I spend an aweful lot of time during the next weeks to farm MGP - back then that used to be even harder. Kept me busy quite a while - yep, I totally fell for that grind.

Basically: Look for a carrot thats intresting to you - and then work your way to it!
We're doing maps because we want the new glamour-gear.
I cant stand melee-jobs but I really want to see the jobquest-storylines, so I'm leveling dragoon and monk after all.
Crafting paid for my mansion. And I'm now cross-breeding stuff thats used for glamour, furniture and the chocobo in my garden.

Maybe you only enjoy the challenge of raids - then you can look at other challenging content in the game!
At the end of the day you need to answer this question yourself though: What do you want out of this game?
And then start looking if and where you can get it.

Believe it or not, leveling other jobs makes you a better tank. Knowing how they work gives you a better understanding and more intuition on how/when to use your cooldowns, and mob positioning.
Try leveling a healer and you'll quickly see the difference between a good and bad tank, and adjust your own play style.

You can do every job, and that (or crafting, or the other two gathering classes you aren't playing) are a majority of people's 'other' time. Games. Triple Triad. Gold Saucer. Housing. Beast Tribes. But if your sole focus is endgame on a tank, this might not be the game for you, because this game focuses on adding a little bit for everything instead of a lot for endgame.

I sub for a new patch, once I've done everything I want to do, I then unsubscribe until the next (that way I can play other stuff too) I often play more when Relic was part of the content because it just gave me a goal to do, I don't play as much as I did in ARR, I dropped it to less in HW and now dropped it even more in SB.
