I don't complain about getting MP support, personally. If nothing else, it frees up some resources for you.

Smn, Blm and Rdm aren't suffering from using Manashift one or twice.
There's not need to take Manashift as an insult.Besides, that could mean some extra Miasma II so why not.
    That's just using their utility.

I personnaly regret that I don't see more caster using actually.

To clarify: I'm shocked in a GOOD way when DPS throw me some MP. I don't mind the extra mileage at all. Probably could have used some better word choice.

I play SCH and on some days, I’ve walked out of trials with five comms, whilst on others I got no recognition at all. This is within the last few months, mind, and with ASTs as my cohealers. It really is dependent on the party and their view on comms; it often doesn’t reflect actual performance either. I’ve literally saved the day and received no comms, whilst in other games I’ve done badly and got multiple. I wouldn’t hold too much weight to it. Play well, have fun, all that jazz.

On an aside, I like getting the mana boost too. Even if I don’t need it, I appreciate them looking out for me. It’ll normally earn them a comm.

I toss an enhanced anything and not just aoe balance the entire instance I almost always get at least 2 coms. I think its like everyone else has mentioned, its a visible buff that people can see and it makes you stand out and people will remember at the end. I get more coms on AST than any other job in the game. More than a tank.

I wouldn't say I get more or less comms as WHM compared to AST (maybe slightly more on AST, since people seem to think for some reason that it's hard to play), but I do get less on my SCH, which makes me sad because I know I play SCH well, I know that playing SCH well actually requires a decent amount of mental overhead, and I personally love getting a well-played one in 8-man content as my cohealer.

I just think the comms are letting you know that you play Ast better then the other two. I get comes on all the healing roles with Sch being my highest our of the 3.

Idk, I get way more on my SCH than AST but tbh I'm terrible at AST so... there's that.

I think it depends more on how you play the job than the job itself. If you just throw up med 2 or succor and just focus on the tank you may only get a comm from the tank. If you involve the rest of the party you'll probably get more comms. This is just easier with with ast because of the tools it has, especially the buffs. I rarely get comms as sch, but I get a lot with whm. Whenever I time holy just right and stun multiple aoe's so the group can stay together I seem to get major props.

I think this is kinda the point of the thread, though. Tbh, a good SCH will basically have minimal interactions with the group, because Eos and Aetherflow abilities are so strong (and regen healers generally tend to brute-force the heals after AOE damage, which is fine but makes it look like the SCH isn't "doing anything"). In my opinion, the less actual heals you're casting a SCH, so long as your group isn't struggling, the better you're playing. Lustrate, Indom, Fey Union, Excog, Whispering Dawn...these are all tools that basically ensure that in all but the most clown fiesta-y of the average DFable 8-man content, you won't need to cast a single healing ability. As a result though, people tend to think you're making the other healer "carry" you, and sometimes that can translate to less commendations if people don't get the nuances of a well-played SCH.

    Just my two cents.
