I find 70 Paladin is this glorious mix of Tanking, Healing, and DPS. Playing all roles at the same time is quite enjoyable. Though when I say Healing I'm not really talking about the use of Clemency. It's more like paying attention to the current well-being of the party almost as much as a Healer. My mind is usually:

"Enmity looks good. Summoner will catch up in a minute though. One of the Healer's just died. Looks like the other Healer is slow raising. And their MP will be extremely low after. Notify the Bard and enter "Self-Preservation Mode." Do I need to Hallowed Ground to make recovery possible? No, just Shield Oath and Clemency should be okay.

Enmity will be a problem soon. My co-tank is about to Tank a big add without focused Heals though. Interjection and Clemency should be enough. Though two greedy DPS have Vulnerability stacks. I should Divine Veil. Damn this Summoner is good though; Co-Tank hasn't Provoked and Shirked me. Notify him.

Though the White Mage just used Curaga XIV before the smalls adds spawned. Gotta use Cover on her. Ah, gotta tell the Bard I can't Cover him on the next knockback. Should be ready before the next Prey marker. Notify the Healer. Co-Tank is at half-health for his Tank buster. Interjection made it in time.

Same DPS just got more vuln stacks!? Better Reprisal and Passage of Arms this laser blast. PRETTY COLOURS. Need more mana for Requiescat in 15 seconds. Enmity is okay. Prey target is on the Monk. Cover is up. Yes I know, you're welcome. Sheltron. Sheltron? Too many Interjections. Oh a Healer just died... Entering self-preserva..... *death*"

Fights are rarely pretty. It's nice playing a job that is able to make almost any situation a bit prettier; and dish out great DPS to boot. Plus it keeps the mind busy. Though somewhere in between you gotta pay attention to the actual mechanics.
