Stormblood 3* Crafting Macros for the Lazy Crafter

I finally got to test these out. Your the 35 durab non-specialist macro is just soooo strong! And it is truly wonderful for crafting intermediates from pure NQ mats. Even if some touches failed, it still has a better chance of HQ-ing then S'yahn Tias's no-RNG macro when crafting from pure NQ mats. This is exactly what I was looking for - sacrificing a little bit of fidelity for more power - at a lower cost of CP.

In addition, I found the 70 durab non-specialist macro also very useful for my CUL to massively make 3 star food from almost pure NQ mats. I haven't tried pure NQ mats, but it's been working wonders for me with a tad bit of HQ mats.

The fact that both of these use only 516 CP is also extremely convenient, as we don't need to use any expensive food/medicine at all. I've been using either NQ tempura or just Baked Onion Soup.

Absolutely Caimie <3 your guides they are so lovely for pointing friends and FC members to for the wealth of crafting questions which come up for progression. I'm glad to hear the 35 durability macros are working so well!

Anyone feel free to post and share these with others in other articles/avenues. I'm most happy when I see others crafting and enjoying themselves.

Just wanted to share my rotation for crafting 3 star items, just cos my stats are a little different to most of what I see on here. Note I use different food to most people and will need some HQ materials to start with.

Well Hralien you took minimum stats to a new bar LOL. You have my respect for making that work. Definitely not something I'll be using, but I love your post for theorycraft sake!

Aw hah, I didn't think they were that minimum :P I am not sure the simulator is exactly accurate when it imported my character but I usually have around 1500 craft and control, just lack the CP :P I have CP (IV) in any gear that supports it, I just havent bothered with overmelding it with lower ranks for the 1-2 CP I miss on some items. You never know though, there may be someone else out there with such stats

I was SUPER tired when I posted and the first time I looked I thought the food brought your stats up to the min to start the synth. I've written macros like that so I thought I was looking at that. MAHBAD!

awesome work but did you ever thought about that the price terrorism on the board is getting more worse with threads like this? ^^

for myself i dont care cuz i have enough gil but sometimes if i decide to sell 1 or 2 350 weapons its hard enough to sell them even without the macrobots.

on moogle i have to check the price all 5-10 minutes or a few others allready killed it.

i hope they change some things: levelquest - only with own signature , macros not possible for crafting.

Well... firstly, that is not exactly a concern for people who enjoy crafting more than anything else...

Secondly, the thought of "keeping it to yourself, so you have an advantage" only works for a very short period of time when a new difficult starred item is released anyway. These i350 gear/weapon recipes are out long enough for saturation of products on the market. Releasing macros like these is not going to have any further impact on market saturation imo.

This is currently the case for Collectables... But I am just bored by the low difficulty of Collectables. Back then, getting a master recipes required only a small amount of a very difficult untradable item to make. Now, it's just very boring but massive scrip grind... Sometimes, I see people talking about themselves "I have all master books! I'm a true master of crafting!"... and all I could visualize was someone who grabbed a macro from the web, and repeatedly grind scrips... -___-'

I giggled when I read your post <3 You're 100% accurate though. Posting easy macro recipes can damage hard work early crafters do for their own macros and market setup. This is the exact reason I don't post my solutions until later in a patch. While I don't need the extra money its not fair to others working hard early in patches. It also gives me time to get them working extremely well and burn out any problems.

None the less I do concur with your frustration on pricing and the current market. There are entirely too many people floundering for the same sales right now in most markets. And some people spastically change prices. I remind myself that I can't have all the sales, and just update periodically to match the bottom price. I've also recently gone out of the way to name my retainers so they are instantly recognizable to people who know me. I have many FC members, ex FC members, and friends who happily buy my goods both from the marketboard and do custom orders. It helps nudge sales so it might be something to try.

As Camie promotes, I'm happiest when promoting others learning to craft and being able to enjoy the crafting system. Unfortunately this also means teaching people that crafting can be a money trap if you don't invest well beyond your initial investment. Being able to craft the newest goods is not the same as work required to profit making goods... and many people in crafting don't realize that until they hit the pitfalls you are noting Emmy!

I was trying to craft a nightsteel axe for a friend of mine and most of the macros I was looking at were calling for insane stats, and this is what I need as a mid-skill crafter. I have less CP but that was easily shored up by just using HQ Tempura which I can make myself with NQ mats anyway.
