My Opinion of the Little Ladies Day Event

    Warning: Incoming Vent.

This holiday is just another way for SE (who obviously prefers females) to shower them with MORE praise.

Yet they treat boys and men like s**t. We don't get a holiday, we get shafted in terms of gear AND hairstyles. SE, not all guys want to wear ****ing dresses while playing a healer or caster job. And despite that glamour exists, there's not a lot of variety for men, yet women get all the best glamours, the best looking gear designs, AND a event just for them.

I'm not saying women don't deserve praise, they have done great things just like men have. But if you're gonna make a event just for ladies, make a event for the guys too. Give us more options as far as gear and glamour and hairstyles. Treat us as equals and stop prioritizing women over men for almost EVERYTHING in the game.

P.S: Just saw the rewards for the event...imo...Meh. GG.

There's not even any new glamour for Little Ladies Day this time. We get gender-neutral emotes and a housing item. What are you on about?

Edit: Just saw your p.s. lol, carry on

Id like a male version event where we can ogle at cute male avatars and fight over which we like most. I'd also like a mandatory swimsuit competition for them, for story reasons of course.

There’s no such thing as reverse sexism. To say otherwise would mean Sexism is exclusive to women.

Edit: isn’t this event supposed to be loosely related to Hinamatsuri, which is a Japanese holiday that plays out an event in their history through dolls? Maybe I’m putting two unrelated things together, but I’m at work so I can’t do any cross referencing.

Last Moonfire Faire I wished that we still got points for looking at the hot beefy men on the beach, but the point of that quest was to see what the one Lalaguy was spying on. With these events just have a little fun. The quest might be different this year and there might be a male singer or something.

As a male feminist™, I think the Little Ladies' Day is very important for all the womyn in Eorzea! You have to understand, female characters are extremely opressed. They get harassed all the time. Also, try playing DPS as a female character. If you make a SINGLE MISTAKE, people will tell you to go back to being a healer, since that's all they think womyn are good at.

Also, don't forget about the gil gap. Did you know? Female characters only earn 0.77 of the gil from Duty and quest rewards (0.68 if they're a Lalafell)! How is that fair?

These things need to be brought to light, and Little Ladies' Day is a great way to raise awareness about these injustices. Please be more mindful.

I thought the point of this event wasn't because SE have decided to have a holiday to fixate on women. It's that this is a genuine holiday in Japan. It's a centuries old tradition. Doll's or Girl's Day - Hinamatsuri - is a cultural day in early March. They mark most major celebrations that celebrated in Western culture and because this Japanese cultural day falls in in what I would imagine is a nice schedule to allow a calendar of events year round. I'm all for more events but making an obligatory "mans" day just to counter balance an actual centuries old day of cultural tradition that SE have decided to mark to have a Japanese holiday represented seems a little off to me.

From my experience with SE and with this game in general, they fixate on women, a lot. Last year's LLD was devoid of men, and was just female pop stars. If the event was about "Dolls" then why call it "Little Ladies Day"? Also if you played in 1.0, do you remember 2012's Little Ladies Day event? Read the description: https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/L...s%27_Day_(2012) Quoted from post: "it's time to dedicate an entire holiday to little girls"
