I like my mist 19, but I would have been completely happy with 20/21

I was going to say this - I may be biased because I'm in plot 9 but I prefer the easy access to the marketboard and being close to neighbors over the seclusion of plot 29. The views are still gorgeous. Plot 8 also has nice views and a little backyard waterfall, so I'd put it on the list as well.
Pretty much in agreement with the original post, but I bounce between 30 & 16 as the best plot for L in Shiro. The fc debated it quite a bit and possibility for a lot more houses to block the view with plot 16 was a big factor in going for 30. I think if the nearby beach tunnel had gone clear up to the side of the house it would have been a different story.
Lavender Beds:
Small - 29/59 has it's own private island, bridge, and waterfall view. Best small in the entire game.
Medium- 11/41 one of the best mediums in the game
Large - 28/58 has a good view and is right next to the MB/bell
Shirogane:
Small: 22/52 - Beach side
Medium: 8/38 - Right next to private beach cove and hot spring
Large: I don't like any of the larges in this ward
Mist:
Small: Any of the beach plots 19-21 would suffice. Great beach living right next to the MB.
Medium: plot 6.
Large: Plot 5
Goblet:
Small: Plot 24. Unobstructed canyon views and the MB is right next to your entrance.
Medium: Plot 25. I like the unobstructed canyon view, I can see all the stars(it's gorgeous at night), see the sunset, it's literally right next to the MB/bell, and it's secluded. This is my current plot and I loooooove it!
Large: Plot 30. It's private, has an unobstructed canyon view, it's also next to a MB/bell, ect.
My main FC has plot 15 in Mist and I love it so much. Has a wonderful view overlooking everything and close to a MB.
A mentor stole my house, slapped me across the face, and raised my ping from 15 to 30. Literally unplayable.

I agree. The backdrop with the waterfall is phenomenal. When I aimed to get a house it was my number 1 choice (which I got.)I was going to say this - I may be biased because I'm in plot 9 but I prefer the easy access to the marketboard and being close to neighbors over the seclusion of plot 29. The views are still gorgeous. Plot 8 also has nice views and a little backyard waterfall, so I'd put it on the list as well.
Any plot that, when standing in the entrance and looking away from the house, has a minimal amount of 'other house' in its direct line of sight, is an ideal plot. Plots that require you to tilt your camera up or down intentionally to see other nearby houses when standing in the garden are also great.
That's right.
What makes a plot desirable for me:
- Nearby marketboard and bell
- Nearby a river (if there's a waterfall even better), the beach or central Goblet's spa.
And that's about it.
Mist -
Smalls - the beachfront houses (including 22/52 which is right up the stairs and has a beautiful view)
9/39 & 10/40 (they are as far from the beach as they come, but the grassy fields and yard around them is really serene. As is the view over the whole ward so long as so one puts up a castle. I would have stayed in this one had someone not.)
Mediums 30/60 (I am so excited to own this one now, it was my dream plot) - but the others right off the dock are lovely too.
Large- they are all fantastic tbh
Goblet -
Smalls - 20/50 & 18/48
- 26/56 (this one is surprising to most people, but it has the best unobstructed views of the moonfire / heavensturn fireworks in the summer in the whole ward! Plus a private little cactus garden behind it that makes the plot itself feel bigger!)
- 21/51 & 28/58 (probably also surprising, but they afford a wonderful measure of privacy, and also spillover space for RP outside of the yard itself with no immediate neighbors. 21/51 has access to a little gazeebo and overlook pretty much to itself)
Mediums-
6/36 - My FC had plot 6 for almost a whole year, and we loved it. A view down onto the brimming heart, and while part of the main neighborhood, you had to go down some stairs and a pathway that gave it a really private feel as well as some neat nooks for RP.
19/49 - because yeah, that one is great.
Larges - going to break the trend and say 5/35 - it is the only one of the Goblet larges that you can see the whole front of easily and has a path in front of it. Despite the entrance being wonky. And I love that it's situated into the neighborhood itself. The others just feel awkward, and the one off on the island just makes me feel anxious, like it's going to fall into the void.
The others wards I don't really have an opinion about, as I've never been interested in a house there. They are nice in their way, but I'm one of the few that actually really loves the Goblet. (even if I do agree it could use some fixing up here and there.)

Shirogane / 15! I'm able to camp on the roof for a beautiful view of most of the ward, especially during the night.
