I was wishing plot 29 in Mist because of the really good view. But I'd gotten 19 Goblet instead, my "plan B" plot. And I'm really happy it was turned that way.

The ward system, with a few exceptions, will never be social places as the design doesn't allow it. If you compare the number houses per ward it guarantees that most of the time those visiting their house will be in a different ward. Adding more wards only exacerbates the situation. The only way to increase social activity is to direct all players into common areas that are independent of wards.I'm gonna have to quote this for truth. I'm surprised at the amount of people that value privacy over almost anything else. Granted, I'm not judging anyone here, it's all a matter of preference, but for example, I'm in a ward where I seem to have all the privacy in the world because there's barely anyone around (seems like a ghost town at times), and it's really not cool when you have almost nobody to interact with or greet in the mornings. To me, part of the appeal of belonging to these neighbourhoods is the social interaction with their people, makes the whole thing more lively and interesting. If privacy was what made a plot more desirable, instanced housing would've been the true solution to housing, yet as far as I know, most people do not want that.
The BEST plot is the one you own![]()
This. You'll always have a chance to see your neighbours at the MB, provided they're around - and for the most part yards are set away from each other in ways you can't just hang out anyway. You want 'seclusion' for views and pictures. Sure, not everybody wants that, but given that the focus on housing tends to be on making it picture-perfect, it makes a kind of sense that people want a location that can be picture-perfect. And while I fault no one for having Paissa or Moogle or Chocobo or whatever walls, they don't usually figure into my photo choices. It's not so much privacy, it's just that the amount of ridiculously gaudy houses around that kill beautiful views that leads me to desire private spots. I had a nice mist med with a great view that was destroyed by a neighbor in front who out up a tall bright Carby house blocking my view. Then a chocobo house next door. And then two moogle houses on other side. I had to move.
I can’t figure out why people like Lavender 3. It’s such a bad location
Anything beachside is good in The Mist for me. 19-21 or 49-51. Was so glad I was able to nab one for myself.
I own houses on both these plots (FC + Private) and I can't be happier with the locations.Mist:
L- plot # 5 perfect beachfront view, secluded, private
Shirogane:
L-#16 I'm going to get alot of crap for this, but I feel it's better than #30 because of the privacy, and the extra land on both sides, bamboo forest. You also don't have to deal with ERPers contaminating your hot springs, with Ummm love nectar.
I'm a little biased because it is also my plot, but my favourite plot is 21/51 in Mist, it's right on the beach and still far enough away from the MB that I don't notice any trafficabsolutely adore my spot <3
My favourite plots are plots on a high position like a hilltop with a view of the sea & sunset, therefore Shirogane plot 16/46 or Mist 15/45 are my favourite.
