Why can't I retrieve my items back?

Why aren't there enough plates?

Why can't I use plates outside of a stupid inn or at least use it at my house?

Why can't I use event items or other certain items?


Perhaps you could outsource a project to fix the glamouring system to some zoo animals instead, so we can have something better?

We had a thread like this recently and it turned into a personal attack machine on people who felt the content was very lacking.

There does seem to be lots of restrictions to it. And I'm not sure why. SWTOR has the best outiftter system I've seen in an MMO. You create tabs on your character profile, make whatever kind of outfit you want, save it, done. You can apply any look you want to at any time, regardless of where you are or what you're doing. There's no restrictions. And you never have to worry about a new item overriding your look. Once you apply an outfit, it's active until you change it, regardless of what your character actually has on.

It's super weird to me that other MMOs don't follow suit.

I'd like that system paired with LotRO's old wardrobe, where you could save items & add dyes, so that you could literally pick any version of any piece in any colour you'd added at any time. However, I know they want the dye market to continue, so that would never happen.

WoW is very close.

The only restriction is you need a transmogrifier to apply what you want (though it costs a small fee). If you buy a somewhat expensive mount, you can call a transmogrifier to you anywhere outdoors.

All appearances you have ever come into contact with are saved in a list, you do not need to keep the base items.

Not really, in SWTOR, it has nothing to do with gear, You can be naked, all your gear can be in the bank, your bags empty, and you still have access to 16 outfits that you have designed from all your pieces of gear. What gear you have equipped plays no part in what you show to the world. The huge advantage to this is, as your getting/updating new gear, you can equip them on the spot and not alter your look, and there no transmog ever needed.

While SWTOR saves the shop stuff like this, it doesn't do it for in game drops so WoW is so much better here and plenty were hoping we would get it here.

Why can't we just have glamour slots separate to everything?

Have a button on your character card that says "Glamour". Click it to open the interface. "This is your current glamour", and it shows like your normal gear card... but with glamour. If they feel the need to keep the glamour prisms, then just make it require a glamour prism to change what is currently in the slot. Give us one "plate" for each class. This would also solve the issue of certain classes sharing gear and thus blocking us from having different glamour on different classes that share the same gear.

Sure, it'll require less prisms. That sucks (from a gil sink stand point). But honestly after all the changes to the glamour prisms... they're pretty worthless now anyway. And it's not like FFXIV cares about gil sinks anyway...right?? If they do, they sure fooled me. lol.
