*giggles* Where have you been these last few weeks? People have been complaining about how relocation by-passes the random timer and how people are still selling plots to relocaters (as well as houses with an FC attached, the easiest way to sell a house). The point of the random timer seems to be keeping people from getting into the housing market by not letting them purchase their first home from a flipper. And so people will have to camp placards forever, only to have to switch to a different placard somewhere else when someone relocates to their camped plot. It's lots of fun trying to go to different cities to figure out where someone moved from so you can camp the new RNG timer from the relocated plot.
In all seriousness, I really wish there was some distinction between a house that is available for purchase and a house with a timer. And it's a really awful experience to camp a plot for 5+ hours only to have someone relocate to it.
The bypassing will stop soon as all plots are occupied with no plot to relocate too people bypassing will have no way to bypass the timer.
People will still be able to sell a plot relinquish to a relocater since it bypasses the timer. Until SE changes the rules to make relocation wait for the RNG timer as well, this simple fact will not change. All the houses on a server being taken won't change this simple mechanic. And plots will always become available again through auto-demolition, people relinquishing so they can transfer servers, or people selling their relinquish.
I've spent way too much time on the forums lately. They've been complaining about both, and how since the RNG timer doesn't apply to relocations it's made it easier for people to relocate to any mediums left behind by people relocating to the new larges. It was good reading. Lots of salt.
