Life of the Dragon nerf or bug?

I'm unable to find any threads on this but I just noticed this tonight as I was raiding. It seems that entering life of the dragon is no longer 30 seconds guaranteed. More often than not I was entering life of the dragon with far less. I'd usually get 20s, 24s, 18s.. it seemed totally random and I'm unsure if that was intentional.. Was that an intentional nerf or is that a bug?

I haven't noticed any oddities with the duration, personally. Always 20s if below when entering, and at whatever the time was if above.

I'll keep an eye out, though. I'm not raiding this tier, so in the event this IS a bug related to the area I won't be able to repro.

it may just be you??? the time on lotd is dependent on the time you had when going into lotd. if it's less than 20, say 7 seconds, you enter to lotd, automatic 20sec. if the number is higher than 20, that's what you start with, eg; 24sec.

but it's weird ur saying 18sec, never seen that, but lotd was never a guaranteed 30sec unless f&c/wt were used prior to lotd. hope it helps.

Really? That's odd that I'm just noticing that lol.. Could've sworn I've always gotten 30s to fit in 3 nastronds.. Well thank you, I'll toy around with it some more..

Nope, Killstein is right.

Besides, you don't NEED 30 seconds to fit 3 Nastronds, you technically only need like 22 to account for animation delay. 22 -> 12 -> 2, though I think the generally agreed upon safe number is 24. Not sure, it's been a while since I did any theorycraft reading from the expert number crunchers.

The previous are correct, it is working the same. Minimum 20 seconds, more if your BOTD gauge was higher. Earlier in stormblood it used to only be a 15 second minimum.
