The goblet is my favorite housing area, and I really like it, but I feel like the problem with the Goblet, and many, many other plots across some of the other wards, is that Square Enix placed them "facing" weird directions. Shirogane is beautiful and has a nice feeling to it but let's be honest, apart from medium houses and one of the mansions, all other plots are facing weird direction. Same for a lot of the Medium houses on the Mist, and this is a problem for Large houses on the Lavender beds.

The Goblet happens to be the plot with the bigger number of "weird view" plots, though.

I really don't understand how SE thought it would be a nice idea to make all the "beach front" houses on Shirogane don't face the beach. Or almost all the medium houses on the mist face pillars. Pretty much all the small houses on the goblet are facing nothingness, instead of the plaza that even from afar is a nice "oasis-like" view. There is a house on Shirogane that is always the last one to be picked because for some reason SE place it facing a wall. And another really nice potential plot is facing a giant rock that blocks the beach completely.

I do feel like the main reason to why the goblet gets so much hate is because the houses are facing random, nonsense directions. On top of it having a severe lack of vegetation or decoration altogether on places that are too afar from the central area. I do understand it's supposed to be in the middle of the desert, but they could make the whole area look like a fancy oasis instead of making this awesome plaza that only 5 plots have a view of. Same goes for many of the Mist houses and the "oh my what a beautiful pillar, I love stairs" view.
