    another maintenance that didnt sort the major issues

    i am seriously cross with this game now as serious issues should be sorted during maintenance so you can give back your players their gaming experience.

    so far you had maintenance twice and yet the disconnect and lag issues are still there!

    Not to sound negative, you might be having IPS issues or your bandwith is being used up by other users, background updates on device, or you need to upgrade your bandwith plan.

    You know, I do lean on this heavily. Yes, squares servers do have their issues...but its possible something along the way changed with other ISP's that have also affected the route in to squares servers. Even lately with the assumed DDoS attacks.

    In my experience, I've had one disconnect in six months. Other than that, zero issues. However, everyone has different ISP providers and routes to square servers. So something along the way on your route is getting mucked up as well. Posting traceroutes and such in their technical forums will help them locate the issue if its something they can fix.

    IF other threads are having issues and you have contacted tech support, well their is always a 3rd option such as a VPN connection, IF in fact there is nothing wrong with your internet connection that is. Some areas do throttle bandwidth based on usage or have peak times of lower rate which can cause that problem.
    if youre talking about paid VPN then no thank you. I shouldn't have to pay for the game plus on top for a VPN when there was no problem with the game prior to 4.2 my end. and I'm sure that the couple of hundred or thousand people who are having the same problems around the world would agree. some people probably don't even know about this tech support site so think about how many more are having issues and have no idea how to sort it. the game became unbalanced since 4.2 for me. others claim to had had issues prior to 4.2. all I'm saying is that people are getting pissed off and they have the right to be so. for now I am unsubscribing because it doesn't look like theyre paying any attention to the constant errors and I cant justify to pay for a game I can play properly maybe 10 out of 30 days if even that.

    I have been in contact with the tech support via email and I tried everything they have suggested and nothing has changed because if it was my end or the end of my ISP this would've been resolved already. forwarding ports didn't change anything either.

    Again, if its an ISP along your route, you may simply be out of luck. There is nothing Square can do about a forwarding issue that has nothing to do with their ISP and server. So everything could be fine with you and your ISP, but somewhere along the path to Square, something is not fine, and likely there is zero you can do about it. You don't just go from your ISP to Squares (NTT) all the time (largely my provider does). Sometimes it goes other ways before making it to the final destination. Other games may not have that issue due to server locations, ISP routes along the way. If you're far from the server, a VPN can help but they arent foolproof. And like you said, can be an added cost.

    I tried helping a friend but it turned out his ISP had a bad connection along the route as well as his connection to Square. It was a double whammy of lag/disconnect.

    well it doesn't matter because I never had these issues previously..i just unsubscribed from the game indefinitely as unless its sorted its not worth my time or nerves

    ive been getting lag since 4.15 and for awhile was getting disconnects and now im still getting lag and since yesterday im getting error 90002's along with the lag on ps4. my connection is fine and i don't get these problems with other online games i play only 14 has them and its starting to feel like sqeenix dosent even care which is sad since i enjoy this game.

    yeah the same here..its so frustrating..i have queued today 3 times for a lvl 50 duty and only managed to do one with lags and the rest of the time the game just decides not to bother and disconnects me just standing in Limsa. I get all sort of error like 90006, 90002 and 2002 which completely closes the game. its unbelievable nothing has been done yet
