Would I have to change my name?

I was going to say that, but I did a lodestone search for "Kanade Tachibana" and it actually turned up a surprising number of hits, despite me not knowing where that name comes from.

Seems like it's a character from an anime, no surprise people will have it.
Unfortunately when it comes to server merge I don't think there's really any 'fair' way to solve this beside having to rename. At least if you have to and being able to redo your character with 2.0 it's like a free ride to re-create your character if you want to :>

Most likely I dont know anyway the servers would work with 2 people of the same name. They will most likely make u change your name. Although if you ever played DCUO when they made a servermerger they let you change your name for free. But if you didnt want to change your name than they let you keep your name but abbreviated what server your merged from and put it in your name

So if they did it like that your name would look like this if you didnt wanna change it

Which if your name actually ended up looking like that i would keep cause than you could say like, "Yeah im one of the Kanade Tachibana's but im the Fabulous one." XD

Yea I did the search as well which is why I brought it up. However when looking at their character profiles they all appear inactive. I don't know if SE will consider this when merging.

Yeah, activity should be more important unless both are active, in which case the home server player should always get the priority.

We will have to be allowed name changes when 2.0 comes out since we'll be able to change race/gender stuff too.

Yeah, I figured they might as well do the same thing for this server merge as well. Name/race/appearance change for merge, and then once more for Ver. 2.0.
